Ashley Campana was born and raised in Cleveland, Ohio where she grew up riding horses and roller coasters and dressing up as fuzzy striped caterpillar for the Woollybear Festival. Ashley got bit by the theater bug when she went to see her older brother, Larry, star in the school plays. She auditioned for her first musical and got to jump out of a box in cow printed chaps in “The Will Rodger’s Follies.”
After earning a BFA from Elon University, she moved to New York with some serious determination. Soon after arriving, Ashley joined the National Tour of “High School Musical.” A bit later, she originated the role of Debbie in “Bunnicula” by Charles Busch, Mark Waldrop and Sam Davis. She can be heard on its original cast album.
A seasoned improvisor, Ashley can be seen performing weekly at the Magnet Theater. Her team, Gem, is a high energy, risk taking, all lady musical improv team.
By day, Ashley is a certified matchmaker. She currently lives in Astoria with her husband Chris. She enjoys swing dancing, the New York Mets and winning at board games. Ashley’s mom thinks she’s the most talented actress in the entire world.
